Chief Bob Gore has been with the LPD since October 2001. He started his law enforcement career as an officer in the US Army and from there went to the Tucson Police Department. He has 40 years experience and has worked in Arizona, Wyoming and New Mexico and was certified in all three states with a professional certification in Wyoming. He has worked in patrol, detectives and plainclothes details. He has advanced training in homicide investigations, narcotics work, administration, K-9 supervision, and numerous related training fields.
 



Sr. Officer Pablo Benavidez has been with the LPD since January 2003. Pablo has 28 years experience in law enforcement all of which is in Quay County. He has worked with the Tucumcari Police Department, Quay County Sheriffs' Office both as a deputy and as Under sheriff, and now with the Logan Police Department.



Officer Wade Strand has been with the LPD since March 2004 and has been with the LPD since certified. In addition to his basic training at the Academy Wade has advanced training in narcotics investigation and interdiction and in DUI investigations. Wade is a key operator for the Intox 8000. Wade is a graduate of Desert Snow and advanced narcotics school.

 



Officer Pedro Bolin has been with the LPD since Jan 2008. He has been a certified officer since October 2003 and worked in Tucumcari until he started in Logan. In addition to his Basic academy training Pedro had advanced training in DUI investigations and narcotics investigations. He is scheduled to attend Desert Snow in June of 2008.

 

Robin Smith is the LPD secretary.  A few of her tasks includes computer maintenance, filing, fingerprints, offense reports, citations, dispatching, and office management and all daily data input.  She has been with us since November 2004.
