New state record small mouth caught in our UTE LAKE!
The Logan- Ute Lake chamber of Commerce is very proud and pleased to announce that we now have the State Record Small Mouth Bass caught here at our Ute Lake! This is a very exciting time for all
of us, but Cale Sanders caught this fish using a white 300 series Bandit Crankbait, and I have never seen so much energy and excitement .
What a beautiful big healthy female small mouth, weighing in at 7 lbs. 3 oz.. It is a wonderful thing to have happen here in our village of Logan, NM.
It is super to realize Ute Lake has grown some very big & healthy fish. Thanks to Dave Ayers at the Logan Food Market, Ben Newton of Ruf-Nec Tackle, Josh Waldrip, Regional Game Warden & Eric Frey, Northeast Fisheries Manager, we'll have this catch certified as soon as the paperwork is finished. Cale is a very sweet young man, he unloaded his boat and took her back to where he caught her, gave her a big kiss and let her free, he told me so! CONGRATULATIONS CALE!
