Mission Statement

To save lives and protect property and the environment, while continuing to emphasize firefighter safety and well being while promoting fire prevention.

Logan Volunteer Fire Department protects 1200 citizens living in a rural area of 245 square miles with 30 active firefighters. With Ute Lake in our response area, our population increases to over 3000 during the summer months. We have mutual-aid agreements with bordering departments, as well as being "on call" for the New Mexico Department of Forestry for urban wildfire interface. We operate out of 3 stations and have an ISO rating of 5.
